E|CHO — Sensory Anchoring Through Scent

E|cho is a scent-based intervention project that uses custom-designed scent artifacts
to help individuals reconnect with
their sense of self, place, and presence through smell

This is not aromatherapy; we work with bespoke created to anchor in the moment—emotionally, somatically, and
relationally—by drawing on personal, cultural, or intuitive scent cues.

What We Do

E|cho offers soft, non-diffusive scent objects (such as plush artifacts, scent-coded folding fans, and tactile scent cards) used in small group or one-on-one sessions. These formats are:

Safe and non-invasive

Designed for emotional grounding

Created to build meaningful, embodied engagement.

How It Works

E|cho is grounded in neuroscience and
trauma-informed design. Sessions are guided by:

• Sensory storytelling practices

• Personalized scent mapping

• The goal isn’t recollection, but anchoring in the now

How is it different

Through scent, E|cho offers another path: one that bypasses cognition and speaks through the limbic system, fostering:

Emotional co-regulation

Moments of calm, delight, or recognition

Reconnection to personhood

We’re currently seeking partnerships with:

Care homes and community wellness programs

Researchers and clinicians interested in sensory-based interventions

Funders supporting dignity-driven innovation in care
